THE HIMALAYAN KINGDOM
This kingdom nestled in the gigantic Himalayan Mountains remains unchanged through the centuries, with its Buddhist beliefs, its isolated villages among the mountains and jungles and trails that cross shrines with banners that throw prayers in the wind.
With a natural and cultural heritage almost intact, Bhutan bases its tourist attraction on the breathtaking landscapes, between canyons and rugged peaks, that it possesses.
LAND OF TEMPLES
Rice paddies, jungles, mountains and colorful houses make up the view from Taktsang Monastery (2,950 m). People call it the Tiger’s Nest because, according to the locals, in the 8th century Guru Rimpoche flew in on the back of a tigress.
But this is not the only temple in Bhutan. Between rivers and mountains we can find the spectacular monasteries of Tango, Punakha, Tongsa, Cheri, Rinpung and Lhuentse located in different parts of the country.
