LAND OF TEMPLES
Rice paddies, jungles, mountains and colorful houses make up the view from Taktsang Monastery (2,950 m). People call it the Tiger’s Nest because, according to the locals, in the 8th century Guru Rimpoche flew in on the back of a tigress.
But this is not the only temple in Bhutan. Between rivers and mountains we can find the spectacular monasteries of Tango, Punakha, Tongsa, Cheri, Rinpung and Lhuentse located in different parts of the country.

TIGER MONASTERY
It is located on a cliff at 3120 meters. The monastery is an important sacred place for Himalayan Buddhism and includes seven temples. It is located on a cliff in the Paro valley. The complex was begun in 1692 in the vicinity of the cave where the Guru Padmasambhava is believed to have meditated.
DAZON SIMTOKHA
This is the oldest monastery in Thimphu situated on a hill. The monastery is very picturesque, has a huge statue of Buddha, also has statues of the founder of Bhutan.
TSECHU OF PARO
are annual religious festivals of Bhutan, celebrated in each district or dzongkhag of the country on the tenth day of the month of the Tibetan lunar calendar.
CENTENARY MARKET
Farmers come to sell fruits, vegetables, cheeses, white rice and red rice, and above all chilies, fresh and dried, of all sizes, shapes and colors, are the basis of its cuisine.
ARTS AND CRAFTS SCHOOL
Instituto Nacional De Artes y Oficios, you can see the students at work, weaving, working the clay for Buddhist-themed sculptures, as well as the painted thangkas or wooden masks.
