The Milan Cathedral (in Italian, Duomo di Milano) is a Gothic cathedral located in the homonymous city. It is the episcopal see of the Archdiocese of Milan. It is one of the largest churches of Catholic worship in the world (it is 157 meters long and can accommodate 40,000 people inside) and the windows of the choir are reputed to be the largest known.
The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (or Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, in Italian) is a building formed by two perpendicular glass-vaulted arcades that intersect to form an octagon; it is a unique space located on the north side of Piazza del Duomo in Milan, which connects to Piazza della Scala.
